It took 7 innings, but the Philadelphia Phillies offense finally came to life on Opening Day, as Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber homered, and Alec Bohm and JT Realmuto drove runs in extra innings, as the Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 7-4 on Opening Day. Zack Wheeler threw six strong innings, giving up just one solo homerun to Keibert Ruiz. MacKenzie Gore was even better, striking out 12 Phillies hitters in six innings. Plus, John Tortorella is OUT as the Flyers Head Coach. Brad Shaw will take over interim duties for the rest of the year.
